Working on a self-employed basis from home enables me to provide my services at a competitive price. As a rough guide, my rate starts at around £8 per 100 words for feature articles.
 
Fees for other projects will vary, depending on the precise nature of the work involved. For example, more labour-intensive forms of writing, like producing catchy advertising copy or constructing technical documents, will naturally attract higher per-word rates than lengthy feature articles do.
